Thinking about visiting the Blue Lagoon in the Bahamas? Looking for an honest review? That's why I'm here! :) I'm sharing our experience along with some things I wish I would've known before coming to the Blue Lagoon!
We were on board the MSC Seascape cruise and we ported in Nassau, Bahamas. We took a short bus ride to the marina, and hopped on board the boat that took us out to the Blue Lagoon.
It was about a 40-45 minute boat ride on board a double decker boat with a group of people. Be sure to sit next to the water on the edge of the boat, so you can see all of the beautiful crystal clear waters of the Bahamas! Also be on the lookout for the insanely big mansions owned by celebrities on this boat ride.

This is what it looked like pulling up to the Blue lagoon island. As you can see, it's most definitely recommended to sit on the edge of the boat. The water is so beautiful!

When we got there, we got life jackets for $15 each, which gave us access to the water activities! I'd highly recommend you pay for the life jacket, so you can enjoy the activities they have to offer. We took out a glass bottom kayak, and joined our friends on the inflatables that were in the ocean. It was SO much fun! If you'd like to check out those activities in a video format, scroll to the bottom and see all the fun we had!
Lunch was served in the afternoon, and there was a large variety to choose from. It was a buffet style, and you get to sit in a covered and shaded area with tables and benches. Lunch offers your choice of a hamburger, hot dog, grilled chicken breast, or a veggie burger, along with barbecue chicken, peas and rice, a salad bar with pasta salad, pickled beets, and more. Two cookies and one cup of fruit punch, iced tea, or lemonade per person are served with lunch.
There were also soft drinks, daiquiris, pina coladas, beer, wine, tropical drinks and mixed drinks are also available for purchase at the Tropical Beach Bar.
There was the option to pay extra to swim with the dolphins in the dolphin enclosure, and swim with nurse sharks, but we didn't want to pay the extra fee. We went to the beautiful beach, played on the inflatables and kayaked in the lagoon!
